Instrument
use
The
plastic
combustion
smoke
density
tester
is
a
new
type
of
test
equipment
for
measuring
smoke
density
developed
according
to
the
technical
conditions
specified
in
the
national
standard
GB/8323.2-2008.
This
standard
is
applicable
to
the
determination
of
the
optical
density
generated
by
the
combustion
of
plastics,
and
the
maximum
optical
density
is
used
as
the
test
result
to
evaluate
the
smoke
performance
of
plastics
under
specified
conditions.
It
complies
with
the
test
standards
of
GB8323.2-2008
"Plastics-Smoke
Generation-Part
2:
Single
Chamber
Method
for
Determining
Smoke
Density"
and
ISO5659.2-2006
"Plastics-Smoke
Generation-Part
2:
Single
Chamber
Method
for
Determining
Optical
Density".
The
whole
instrument
consists
of
a
closed
test
chamber,
a
photometer
measurement
system,
a
radiation
cone,
a
combustion
system,
an
igniter,
a
test
chamber,
a
bracket,
a
thermometer
table
and
a
smoke
density
test
software;
the
circuit
is
developed
using
a
single-chip
microcomputer,
with
high
technical
content
and
stable
performance.
This
instrument
is
suitable
for
all
plastics,
and
can
also
be
used
to
evaluate
other
materials
(such
as
rubber,
textile
coverings,
coatings,
wood
and
other
materials),
and
is
widely
used
in
plastics
industry,
solid
material
industry
production
plants
and
scientific
research
and
testing
units.

Test
chamber
The
front
door
is
installed
with
a
window
and
a
movable
opaque
screen
that
can
block
the
window,
the
bottom
of
the
square
box
is
installed
with
blasting
aluminum
foil
to
prevent
overpressure,
and
the
top
is
installed
with
an
internal
pressure
regulating
device
of
the
box.
